Not quite sure what this is, exactly, but I'm quite sure it's part of one of my non-fanfic universe thingies called Ebony and Silver. It came to me in the shower, for no obvious reason; I'm confused because one of the main reasons I've never even started to write E&S is that it's way too visual for prose. A first atempt at a manga/comic/graphic novel thingie can be seen here.

And yet, snippet:

This is what he knows.

He knows how to jump down two stories, sometimes more, without breaking limbs. He knows exactly how to place his feet, sneakers hitting the ground with a dull thud, knows exactly how much to give in to the force on his legs to land without damage and without falling over.

He knows how this feels, the concrete under one hand as he pushes himself up and starts running again, the whole process over in less tan a second.

This is what he knows.
