Hey, you know what? I wouldn't be horribly devastated if I were to become a "test case" for the whole underaged people on slash lists thing. If someone wants to sue me for being lax about underagers on my list, they can go right ahead and we'll see where it goes. I could quite frankly care less about my "reputation" being "tarnished" with accusations of "corrupting a minor". And I live in the land of Dutroux, people.

Just. Fuck the hell off! Stop being so fucking convinced you're right and your way is the only way because it's the way it's always been. Yes, I have it easy, because I have a job I won't be fired from because I'm gay or a slasher or what not, and family who don't give a damn. Yes, I FUCKING UNDERSTAND you wanna cover your asses. That's your perogative. Please allow me mine to not cover my ass and take a stand about something I believe in, no matter how childish and naive you may think me.

Most importantly, stop using legality as an excuse for your own prejudice. (And while I'm on the subject of laws, stop assuming everyone's American.)

That goes for the underagers, and it goes for RPS as well.

It's gotten a bit better, lately, but v. few people still seem to realise that not everyone is American or British.

(Which brings me to another rant: I'm really tired of people telling non-native English speakers they need a beta. Screw that. Most people need a beta. Anyone who doesn't have a really firm grasp of grammar and spelling needs a beta. Wether you're a native speaker or not doesn't quite enter into it. I may not be a native, but I do think my English is better than that of a lot of natives. Grrrr!)
