Oh. Yes. This could go along with Jason leaving the band, or go Zero-style and end up with somebody getting killed. Kirk is rife with angst after realizing that he's been lying to himself all these years, and the one he really loves is James. He confides in Jason, who is heartbroken because he has feelings for Kirk. Jason tries his best to win Kirk over, but fails.
Happy ending: James realizes his feelings for Kirk, and despite the fans and the critics, lets their affair be known. Sad ending: James is repulsed, leaving Kirk all alone. Zero ending: Jason kills James, is hauled off to jail, and poor Kirk is still all alone. (I love 'im! I really do! But it's just so perfect to have it end that way...)
