So I did laundry yesterday, ofr the first time in my life [shut up], and didn't shrink or discolour anything. That's good.

Today is the day the tickets for the Belgian U2 shows go on sale, by phone and on the Internet site partially programmed by His Aevilness, who has assured me he can get a whole bunch of tickets. Wooha! Also good.

Wearing a skirt for the first time since, um, last July, I think. And nylons. For the first time ever. Kinda good. Feel like a drag queen. Woa, gender id issues there. Generally good, though.

And, um, I kinda sorta may or may not have written ... *NSync slash. The Shame! The horror! Will the children ever be the same? *sob* And to make matters worse, it's Chris/Justing and god-bleeding-dammit, I feel too old to be lusting after Justin and Chris is like a decade older than me. I feel pathetic.

Considering wether or not I'm gonna go see the Harry Potter movie. I have this rather defined image of the characters in my head, and I'm afraid those'll be replaced by the images of whoever's playing them in the movie. Also, looking at the pictures of the cast, I'm not sure they mesh enough with my mental image of them for me to be able to 'get into' the movie.

Harry is perfect. He's just like my In-My-Head Harry. Ron is a little too chubbby and doesn't seem to have any freckles, but I'll let that slide. Hermione is too. Friggin. pretty. Evil Warner Bros and their evil American view on things. Draco is perfect, too. At least my two favourites would be exactly as they are in my head. But I don't know if that makes up for the rest.

Snape is way skinnier than that. Dumbledore is okay. McGonagall looks far, far, far too old. [She's 70. Considering wizards grow a lot older than humans, I picture her to look about 45. She looks older than friggin Dumbledore, and he's over twice her age. Bluddy.] Hagrid looks a bit too hairy for me, but I could live with it

The Dursleys are brilliantly cast. Most of the confirmed 'supporting students' look good as well. Whoever cast John Cleese as Nearly Headless Nick should be given a Nobel Price or something. Ditto for Rick Mayall as Peeves. Man, that's just about enough to make me wanna go see the movie.

Rest of the supporting cast look okay, too.

I think, in the end, it'll depend on wether or not there are any more 'glaring errors' in the as-of-yet-unconfirmed cast. [Mostly the twins.]

I am no longer the sole member of the House SABel. That is so cool.

I can't get to my mail. It's not femgeeks [cause Tri could get at her mail, and the site and the email control panel are still up] and it's not hotmail [cause I can get at my other account just fine] and it's not the combination of the two [cause I tried with another service and that's not working either.]

Sheisse!

In another bout of Iternet Hivemind, both the Keenspace and the draconian list are discussing suicide. Odd.

I've finally figured out what's going on. Came to me in a blinding flash this morning.

The news just seemed so familiar somehow ...

  1. Labour government in power
  2. 'Soviet' spy arrested in Washington
  3. British journalist thrown out of 'Rhodesia'
  4. Tranmere Rovers in the quarter final of the FA Cup
  5. England cricket team doing well
  6. We even have a tennis player who doesn't fall over his feet (often)

The evidence is overwhelming: It's 1975!!!

Beste Sofie,

Een leuke quote voor jou. Enkele jaren geleden zei Bono het volgende tegen
BP Fallon (meereizende DJ tijdens de ZOO TV Tour):
Translation: Dear Sofie, A nice quote for you. A few years ago, Bono said to BP Fallon (DJ during the ZOO TV Tour):
"I'm not gay, but when I saw Marc Bolan on Top of the Pops I realised I
fancied him."

Muahahahahahahahahahaha! (Sawwy, I'm aevil!)
