More food talk, and I know this is boring as hell probably, but I'm trying to keep track of this a bit, so you can all deal. :p So, today's lunch, in which you can clearly see I've figured out the major problems with my wrapping technique, and even though I still wrap them in cling film to keep the contents from spilling, I found a way to keep them from unraveling (combination of wrapping technique and just dabbing some water at the closing end), and I'm really starting to like these things quite a lot.

I'm trying to figure out my main problem with this whole food situation, which is the balance between hungry and more than full. Friday, I'd eaten everything in my lunch box by two in the afternoon, and I was still really hungry by the time I got home. Yesterday, I had most of the fruit left over when I got home, and had to make myself eat it after supper. I thought maybe it was having a larger breakfast, or something, but I actually think that rather than needing more carbs at lunchtime (which I was a bit iffy about, because carbs make me want to nap), I actually need more proteins to feel satisfied and full in the afternoon. Huh. So I'm thinking of shifting my main protein intake from supper (quorn sausages, bean burgers, etc.) to lunch (quorn sausages, egg, whatever).

Supperwise, my big annoyance is timing. I usually have carbs of some sort with at least one kind of vegetable, but I seem have fallen into the bad habit of snacking when I get home and then not eating until after ten, which doesn't seem like a good plan, and probably doesn't help with my inability to eat until I've been awake for at least an hour. So if I can eat enough with lunch and snacks to just not be hungry until seven-ish, and then just eat supper (and get some minor snacks for later in the evening), that'll be much better.

I also need to find a better alternative for breakfast, I think, something other than eggs and bread (I eat too many eggs as it is), but I need something nice and filling in the morning, and I. Don't. Eat. Cereal. At all. Which made me a freak in school even more than the non-drinking of fizzy drinks, and is now vexing me, because it'd be a good way to get more dairy into my diet, and I just can't find a cereal I like. I hate the "chocolate"-covered ones, the sugar-coated ones just get me hyper and then make me crash, and muesli is frackin' impossible to find without dried fruits (especially raisins/sultanas, with which I had a falling out at a tender age that hasn't healed since), although it'd be great otherwise.

I used to eat Kwakies a lot in Belgium, which are crunchy muesli clusters with chocolate and without any goddamned raisins, but Aldi, where I bought them, are much less ubiquitous over here it seems, and I don't know that I want to trek all the way over there unless I know for a fact that they have them here as well. Any suggestions for this are welcomg, btw.

In non-food-related news, I have my job interview this afternoon. Everyone please cross your fingers for me?

(I should also be getting my new backpack soon. I'm kind of ridiculously excited about this. I'm such a consumerist whore sometimes. :D )
