Today's commute home took half an hour longer than expected because I had to a) walk from Haymarket, and b) take a detour around a major crossroad. Police everywhere, no explanation about what happened, but according to one friendly, chatty bloke (who told me how to get home when the police waved me off), there was a gunshot in a doctor's office? Supposedly someone walked into the doctor's office with a shotgun and fired. Huh.

And here I thought the riots back in Antwerp a few years back were bad. 0_0

something similar happened at rocky horror this past weekend, though i slept safely through it inside the theatre: a guy with an uzi was inside the bar next door. o.O no one was allowed outside.

like i said, i was asleep. ^^; but a couple of my friends were trying to leave early and were told they couldn't get out. o.o apparently everyone's okay. (this is also after we had a meeting wherein we were informed that there had been armed robberies in the area of the theatre. ><)
