Things learned after my first LARP:

  • I should never play a fighter. EVER!
  • After the first awkward hour, everything starts seeming plausible, if not exactly normal.
  • PC's that are animated bushes, for example.
  • Or NPCs playing a sword.
  • Or, you know, standing around in an Arcanist's room with sever people, talking to a stone.
  • In fact, even walking up to the people running the game and ordering "Two construction workers, a Frank, and if you could kinda set aside an earth elemental, that'd be cool" doesn't even fase you anymore given enough time.
  • Swords cool. Swords very cool.
