I'm reading random HP slash again. And there's so many stories with a good idea behing them (this one, for example) that could be really good if it weren't for the dreadfully formal language and if they'd been paced a lot better. Sigh.

This icon has never been quite so appropriate.

heh. I've recently been indulging in Rhysenn's Irresistible Poison (http://rhysenn.morethanart.org) series. melodramatic, silly but so utterly addictive. I utterly sympathise. And do you know anywhere I can find Marcus / Oliver aside from the ljs?

And yeah, IP is one of these stories where I rather like the premise, but the story's too drawn-out for me to enjoy it. Seems like HP is another one of these fandoms suffering from soap-opera-itis. People want to enjoy the fame as long as it lasts, so stories get drawn out to the point where they're just boring. Gnar.
