I sometimes think Americans think we're living in the dark ages. They probably think Europeans (and why talk like Europe is all the same instead of massive with wildly different areas) are still running around trying to stab vampires and shit ... hehe i just don't know sometimes ;)

Hmm. But that's not quite what the article says, is it. I mean, it pretty much says the contrary - that Europeans are much more liberal-minded, while Americans are stuck-up and prudish. Which, in some respects, might even be true. Speaking of the society in general of course, and not the individual being.

Ah yes, good point. I was reading it more as Europeans being stuck in the days when it was considered a man's right to have a mistress etc... But looking at it again i was being a bit oversensitive.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Of course to have a mistress one needs to have a wife/girlfriend first. Hmmmm... now that I think of it: having a girlfriend in America and a mistress in Europe would be nice.   :p
