Re: Your "fees and taxes"
Since I'm gonna have to get up Real Fucking Early if I want to get the flight that gets me to London early enough to actually be able to spend some time with Sae and Zed, do you think you could maybe not have the fees and charges exceed the actual ticket price?
I'm seriously considering if maybe taking a DAT flight and not having to get up a fuck-o'-clock in the morning, not to mention flying into London itself, and out from Brussels itself, wouldn't be worth it.
You fuckers,

like when i found a flight from london to glasgow for fifty pence... and after all the taxes and service charges... it still came to twenty pounds.

yeah... i once had a 6am flight from dublin to london. we woke up at 4am. it was cold and dark and we were the only people on the streets. it sucked ass.
yes, i love how they fly out of the most out of the way places possible. like beauvais... 2 hours away from paris. i had to take a bus into paris, and they dropped me off in some random parking lot at 7pm in november. once again.... dark. i had been in europe for two hours in total. i had nowhere to sleep and no idea where i was.
thank you for that fun experience, ryanair.
fuckers indeed. :p

It's theoretically feasible to go there by train, although I can't at the moment remember the exact time. You could always check the NMBS site for hours, and there is a bus service from Charleroi station to the airport.
Do not expect the buses to have to come exactly at the time given, though - mine took me on a scenic tour through the Industrial Park twice.
Re:
As for the "Brussels South" thing, yes. You wouldn't believe the number of people who show up at Zaventem looking for their Ryanair flight. Le sigh.

Eurostar might prove cheaper - it cost me £65 to get from Ashford to Brussels, and I booked a day before travelling - it would be cheaper a couple of weeks earlier, methinks. It takes longer than a flight, but you only need to check in 20 mins in advance, methinks.
