Mommy, the Dutchmen are SCARING MEEEEEEE! *whimpers, waves wee Belgian flag in distress*

No [livejournal.com profile] megolas for me today, she has to stay in with her foot up. :(

And my e-mail internet should be working by 27 August. Which is of course the day I leave to visit Belgium. *facepalm* Well, it'll probably be earlier, and at least it'll give me time to find a router/modem/whatever it is I need and set up things.

And watch DVDs, yay!

Edit: E-mail and internet are not the same thing, self.

They were singing the theme song to Peppie en Kokkie at each other! Keep in mind that I'm sitting in between them and aaaaaaarghhelp?

I feel so besieged, man, between this and their constant stream of dropjes (ew!). I am taking a shitload of Belgian chocolate and beer back with me. Well, maybe not beer, cause I drink Guinness anyway, but CHOCOLATE!

Peppie en Kokkie? I've never heard of those!

I drank Guinness once, and ended up feeling distinctly nauseous. I'm afraid it's a bit too bitter for my stomach. *g* But, mmm, Belgian chocolate! It's the best. hough I had no idea dropjes were Dutch...? (Though I don't like 'em myself...)

Ask [livejournal.com profile] sileas, I'm pretty sure she'll have heard of it. It was on Dutch kiddie TV in the Eighties, back before there was anything on Belgian TV on weekend mornings and we were forced to choose between French TV and Dutch TV. (And we watched he French challen half the time, heh.)

Dropjes are a very Dutch thing in that they're all addicted to it--zoute drop especially. Ew.

I'm not so sure [livejournal.com profile] sileas will have heard of anything I haven't. *g* We always watched either the Dutch or Flemish TV, but I never heard of that. But I'll ask! Never watched the French channel with my folks, though I myself did watch Club Dorothée whenever my parents would allow it.

Eww, zoute dropjes! I worked at 'het Kruidvat' for an entire summer, and had to fill those up often enough...
