This will not make any sense to most of you
*eyes TV* Christ, I can't believe how much this image is ingrained in my memory, considering that I wasn't even born yet (and wouldn't be for another fifteen years) when this was aired.

Oh, OK. I didn't know that. I suppose it redeems them somewhat. :-) I think I've only ever seen fragments myself -- I have but a few images in my mind when I think of it. I never heard them say they weren't actually supposed to work. :-) It's the kind of thing they occasionally show on The Leukste Eeuw and the like, and I suppose they only show the funniest moments. Still, yeah, a classic. Every time I hear that song, I have to think of those images. It's not the best song to motivate me to work. *g*
When they were working on the Wetstraat this summer, I spent many a pleasant smoke break watching people work. Consequentially, I had that song in my head for three weeks in a row.
*snickers* Well, thank goodness it isn't a really bad song (at least, I don't think it is -- it always just amuses me because of that clip... even though, if memory serves right, the lyrics talk about something rather different). And Louis Neefs has got a good voice. :-)
Were those workers that slow then, that they reminded you of the song?
