I've come to the conclusion that I am, in fact, my grandmother.

Seriously, I have this complete inaboility to throw junk out. Not garbage, but junk. Old magazines, for example. There's a stack of them next to me right now, which I'm going through right now to tear out things people might like to have. (That's right, folks. Envelopes O' Fun coming your way in a few weeks!) And even then I'll be keeping all the bigger, monthly ones, because they were expensive and look nice and I cannot throw them away! That's not even counting the 100+ casette tapes I hardly ever listen to anymore, or the trunkful of paperwork I don't need, or the insane amount of pens and pencils.

I am an old spinster. Shoot me now!

i do exactly the same thing.
i keep everything that could be of use later... or for others... or that looks nice... or that is interessting... you never know...

Yeah, exactly. Except it's all useless clutter, and I'm rather zen-like about things. I prefer sobriety to clutter. And I'll never be able to take all this junk with me when I move in a couple of years, so I might as well get rid of the old stuff now and not accumulate any new junk.

Sigh.

i'm drowning in my magazines, old cassettes and cds. and i refuse to get rid of any of it.

it has resulted in the start and finish of world wars 3-27 between me and my mom. heh.
