Sofie 'Melle' Werkers ([personal profile] bubosquared) wrote2002-02-11 03:44 pm

(no subject)

Have randomly decided to stop using pseudonyms for my stories, either fanfic or original. However, I'm not fond of my full name, and i'm toying with variations of initials and middle name to find something suitable. (Kind of like Sam with "S. Larean Young".)

S. Katrien Werkers?
Sofie K. Werkers?
Sofie Katrien Werkers?
S.K. Werkers?
S. Werkers?

In other news, the right side of my head is doing that hypersentistivity thing again. Much with the ow!

i like the 2nd best :)
sorry if you didn't want to know that ;-)
its funny how long... for me it seems, as if i've know your name for ages... okay, how to say, its one of the names which have to do something with... yaoi? elfwood? anything like that in my head. since... since a loooong time. funny that.

Seriously? Cool. Yeah, must be EW, since that's the only place I've used my real name since before ... mid-2000, I think. Heh. Cool. :)

I like S. Werkers or Sofie K. Werkers the best.

I think that's going to really weird me out. You're just Melle, and I have a hard time thinking of you as anything else.

Well, I'll still be Melle, I'll just not be using the full pseud anymore.

I briefly considered "Sofie 'Melle' Werkers'", like on my email, but that doesn't sound too good, either. I want something uniform for both fanfic and non-fanfic, something that sounds(ahem) "professional".

I know you're still you, but names mean something. I have an emotional attachment to Melle, but I don't even know Sofie. I know that seems weird, but I think I disagree with Shakespeare.

I meant, I'll still go by Melle, it'll just be a nickname rather than a pseud, you know?

I hardly think of myself as Sofie anymore. Almost everyone calls me Melle.

I know, I know. I just don't deal with change very well.

I'd throw my vote in for S.K. Werkers...

If you're going for professional, then either S. Werkers or S.K. Werkers would work really well for you. As for the hypersensitivity thing, would aspirin help?

Hmm... either of the last two... though "Katrien" is a really cool name.

I like Sofie K. Werkers. It has a good ring, and an equally pleasing necklace.

I like the second one

Of course, this is at least the third name change since I've known you (I remember Princess, Princess Xavier [if those two were separate?], Melle and now this one) so it doesn't feel very weird.

Princess was the handle, Princess Xavier was the full pseud. Kinda like Melle and Armelle Amaya. And like I said to Ruth, I'll still go by Melle, I'll just not be using the pseud anymore.
