well, see. I have to gingerly disagree just a wee ickle bit. I definitely pick stories based on fandom and pairing. not because I think some things are of less worth than others, but because I am utterly uninterested in reading about some things. I'm not interested in bdsm, FuLa, TPM or mpreg. thus, I won't read them unless someone forces me, and then I usually just go, 'huh' and forget about them after. cause it's not my bag, like.

of course, being judgemental is perhaps an other thing entirely.

There's a difference between not being interested and saying that any story of that pairing will suck, no matter what.
