I have a beef with people who don't respect Arwen and Aragorn's relationship. But in my cattier moments I wonder if they're just not adept enough writers to write around her.
Yeah. There's that comrades-in-arms thing that always strikes me as slashy between Aragorn and Boromir.
And, oddly enough, I think another part of the reason they work is that Boromir dies. It's actually a very symbolic ending for them. And tragic. I like tragic love.
Oooh, good one. yeah, I definitely think the death thing is part of it, too. Perhaps that's why people like L/A so much, the whole erternal life thing.
That might be it, but Aragorn dies too, surely? I know he's long-lived 'cause he's got elf blood, but he's mortal, right?
Wow, that might actually make me feel sorry for Legolas.
I think a part of it's also that I tend to not get into the guy everyone swoons over very often. It's like X-Men. Everyone went for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, I fell in love with James Marsden as Scott.
Re: Ditto, but I'm blaming Aragorn...

Hmmmm *contemplates Arwen-angst*. I like this.
