Woo. Everything's clean except for the kitchen, which I shall clean tomorrow. Hm, let's rephrase that: I shall clean the kitchen tomorrow. Are you listening, self? Oh, and do some ironing. Yes.

While I wait for the floor to dry so I can go for food, a survey! Stolen from Zarya.

1. When do you put your Christmas/Hanukah decorations up?
My parents always do it on 19 December, because then I have my birthday presentsunder the tree and stuff. I'm not sure if i'll be putting up anything myself, this year. Probably just a few guirlandes and maybe an ornament or two.

(Oh, and by "decorations" I do mean the tree and stuff inside the house. we don't go in for the big house-decorations here.)

2. Do you prefer to use Christmas lights that are all one color, or do you go for the multicolor effect?
I don't do christmas lights myself. At all. I have this guilt complex about the amount of energy they waste. my parents have multi-coloured ones.

3. Real tree or fake?
Real at my parents', fake here. I live in an appartment, so.

4. Where do you get your tree?
Erm. No idea.

5. Perfectly shaped tree, or one with character?
Something in between. Something cheap.

6. Where do you put your tree?
Living room.

7. Tinsel or garland?
Both.

8. Blinking lights or solid lights on the tree?
Solid.

9. What sits on the very top of your tree?
I think a peak at my parents'. I haven't bought my own decorations yet. Something silver or blue, most likely.

10. Eggnog or hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate. My dad made eggnog for the first timelast year, and um. No. Pure alcohol and cream, yo!

11. What does your family Christmas/Hanukah feast consist of?
Oh, geez. Whatever. We don't really have a food tradition, especially with two vegetarians in the family.

12. What day do you typically hold your Christmas celebrations?
Christmas Eve, I guess. That's our intimate family evening. Christmsa day is big gettogether with mum's side of the family.

13. When do you open your presents?
Christmas Eve between dinner and dessert.

14. Do you open them all at once, or one by one?
One by one. One person's usually appointed as official presents-hander-outer, and nonew present is handed out until the previous one is opened.

15. Favorite Christmas movie?
Quoi?

17. Do you have any family holiday traditions that you partake in each year?
I go to Midnight Mass, but that's really only the last few years, and just me, so not really "family" tradition.

18. For New Year's Eve, do you go out, or stay in?
I usually stay in, unless there's a cool party to go to. I'll prolly be going out this year. (Mol?)

Uhm...we can go out to dinner on the 31st (I have to work 7a-3p), or we can go out to dinner on the 1st before work at 11p.

I think you're stuck coming to work with me, unless you want to stay at the dorm and sleep.
