The academic world needs to learn how to a) not top-post and b) look at the correct spelling of the name of the person they're replying to. There is no p in my name, dammit, nor is there an h. It's right there at the bottom, for fuck's sake.

Gah.

You get that too?! *gasp*

I guess the misspelling of first and last names is pretty common, though. It sucks. Everytime I get an advertisement spelling my name incorrectly, I blah to the mail, and throw it out.

If they took the time to send it or find my address, they could take five seconds to make sure they spelled my name correctly. Bastards.

Yes. A lot. Apparently, there's this wide-spread misconception in the Anglosaxon world that my name can only be spelled "Sophie" -- I am not French, people, so don't spell my name like that. It's an "f", how hard can it be?

Grrr!

Gah...I get the same thing ALL the time. People always seem to want to spell my name with a "Ch" instead of a "K". Or leave off the "e" at the end. Or spell it "Kristen" or "Kristene". For crying out loud people, my name is NOT Kristin, its Kristine! Kris-teen....

Ugh...Sorry, but it pisses me off so much...
