PLEASE explain this to me?

I was watching TV the other day, and this one guy said "All your base are belong to us." And BmB has the same quote somewhere. I don't understand the "are blong to us" part. English-wise, it doesn't seem to make any sense.

There was this Sega game that was poorly translated, and one of the sentences from it was "All your base are belong to us." You can probably still find the video they made about it on www.newgrounds.com.
