Research question.

What's a good brand of used car to be rickety old? Like, the kind that a struggling band would drive across the country to go to gigs?

Well...

A Gremlin, if you also want to go for the "small and uncomfortable" factor... Or a Pacer, ditto, plus with the Pacer you get to make jokes about how it looks like a turtle... Um, a mid-70's Chevy Nova would also work, and it would be bigger....

The Chevy Nova is a good suggestion. Also, if you wanted something a little newer, something like the "K" car from the early- to mid-80s might count. They were pretty ugly, boxy things so they'll never be a treasured old car.

Hmm, you could always go with the cliche and put them in a volkswagon van.

I was going to suggest the VW van, because, while cliche, it's often old, definitely rickety, and will fit instruments and band members but not well enough to not be cramped. ^_^

Do'h! Brain sharing, sorry! :D

*laughs* Ahh, no worries. S'a good thing, brain sharing . . .

Tanks, you lot!

I went with the VW van, for equipment-carrying purposes. :)
