oh i *so* know that. the company that provides us with the tv cable thing said that already two years ago ("next year. next fall. next spring. next summer...."). now a known cable internet provider has bought part of the company. and will provide cable... to all the neighbourhoods AROUND us but NOT ours. *fumes*

I SO feel your pain - I'd been waiting for cable modem for well over a year, and every time I'd call to find out if it was available, I was assured it was only a couple weeks away.

I'm still afraid this is all just a dream, and I'll wake up to 56k again.

I don't even have that right now. No phone line. I'm getting one just for the internet. <g> I'll get ADSL, and when they give me cable, maybe I'll switch over. Whatever.
