Random zine stuff. Ignore.

  • Get at least majority of stories collected and vaguely formatted so you can make estimate on amount of pages and, thus, on cost. Try andget at least 1/3 new stories.
  • Rewrite blurb page, make detailed guidelines for submissions. Also, make sure you have the CORRECT YEAR, you doof.
  • Start speading the news in earnest. (Hm, FCA-L? Argh, no!)
  • Recruit editors (anyone for *Slash?), set up list for editors and other zine people to bitch/complain/whine/scream/help one another on.
  • Look into payment methods and strt asking for pre-orders.

Hiiiieeelp. What have I gotten myself into? *looks around wildly* You had all better buy a copy! $10-$15 plus shipping isn't that much! You hear? Aaargh! Do it for the cause, people, if not for my poor ego and bank account.

Lalalala I wonder if I could finish IRA!U2 in time for the deadline. *manical laughter*

Right, listen up!

sub/TEXT is starting in earnest now, and we need your help. Yes, you. All of you on mailing lists, or with LiveJournals, blogs, whatever. Spread the word. Recruit people. Submit. Apply for an editor job. Anything!

(Edit: If you have recs for stories you think should be in the zine, pleasepleaseplease send 'em my way (at minerva@femgeeks.net), especially things like Puppieslash involving JC or Lance or other stuff I'm not likely to read on my own. I don't want to force-feed you all my taste in slash.)

The main zine page.
A standard email to forward to lists.

A number of you should expect to find an email in their inbox from me, asking if I can have a story (or more) for the zine. Muahahaha!

(Edit2: Look, everything's actually spelled correctly and everything now. *cough* Thanks for the heads-up, Ruth.)

I wonder why it is that the soundtrack to Strange Love, which is ostentably a "gunrgeboyfic", contains lots of non-grunge songs. In fact, I've yet to think of a good actual grunge song that fitsit. It's all Matchbox 20 and Train and the likes. Ho hum.
