First of all, not many things will have meaning to people when written
in all-caps.It's the equivalent to shouting. Do people in real life
consider you rational when you yell at them?

Secondly, just because you were taught that gay = gross, that doesn't
mean that's right. Don't just accept things becasue you were brought up
to believe them. Question your upbringing.

If, in the end, you still think that homosexuality is gross, then at
least it'll be your own opinion and not someone else's. Also, you'll be
able to defend your opinion more eloquently than "Eww, gross," and
people will be less inclined to "jump your ass" about it.
