For my own reference, and so people can beat me about the head and shoulders for encouragement should anything take their fancy, current WiPs and bunnies:

  • Magical knitting novel thingie;
  • Firefly huggin!drabbles;
  • Firefly wingfic;
  • MCR Au in which Gerard does reverse graffiti and other people do things like guerrilla gardening and it's all just too precious for words;
  • FBofW "fixit fic" weirdness.

... OMG. That's the red I spent YEARS looking for. I MUST HAVE EEET!

*ruffles G's hair* He is such a teenaged geekgirl it's not funny anymore. Well, almost. Heee hee.

It is totally still funny.

And seriously, at this point you could write fic about Gerard the teenage trans geekgirl and not need to lable it AU.

I am somehow fascinated by the Magical knitting novel thingie - mostly trying to parse it out. is it magical creatures knitting, people using knitting to achieve magic, knitting which results in magical creations, what? these are the things that keep my brain spinning.

the MCR AU also sounds pretty damn cool.

[identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It's people using knitting to achieve magic. Or, well, sort of putting magic in thread/items as they're being knit? If that makes sense? So they're making everyday items like gloves or scarves or socks, but using magic to make them more resistant to wear and tear, or towind- and water-proof them, or sometimes fancy stuff like shimmering or colour-changing, which is the more upscale stuff for rich people.

Are you home-in-scotland or home-in-belgium? Cuz I am giving up the internet for snail mail, and if I can write you in Scotland I am happy.

I am home in Belgium right now, still not entirely sure when I will be back in Schotland, end of the month at most?

Woe giving up the internet! I shall miss you online! :(

We miss our Melle...

*Hugs* Hi!

I would love a MCR of any type from you. I love them and you.

Magical Knitting for sure.
Is this still based on the original Nano novel ?
With the guy who stayed in the pub right after finishing school only to come across a member of one of the major magical knitting companies while buying a pair of magical gloves. Who then went on to work for them after being introduced to the boss' daughter (which is where my memory of the story leaves me entirely)
Oh, it's still in [livejournal.com profile] mounthelicon
