Okay, people, somebody pimp some fic at me? I want to print out some stories to read while I go and lie on the grass during my breaks, as long as the weather stays this way. It's too hot to actually walk around, and I've made it a mission to get something resembling a tan by the time I go home in August, so my mother will refrain from mentioning how pale I look and I should get out more, blah blah blah motheringcakes. Anyway. Recs? Anyone?

Also, a (not quite) pointless poll. I have a white t-shirt. I do not have a white bra. I also skipped school on the day they taught Basic Girly Crap, apparently. Help?

Nonononono! Huge fashion faux-pas! In fact, don't wear any bra that is visible through your t-shirt, even if it's white. Just wear an undershirt or something.

But ... it's only vaguely visible, and even with the undershirt, my tat'd show through ...

If you don't mind your bra being visible through your shirt, or if your shirt is thick enough to hide your bra, what the hell. Go for it.

Well, it's definitely thin enough that you can see my bra, and even my tatt, and I personally don't care, but still.

Depends on how much you care? *g* I do believe a black bra under a white shirt is not exactly the done thing (usually skin-coloured is the best, because somehow, even white bra's (is it bra's or bras? Hm.) show through), but hey, consider it asserting your personality. ;-) (And if you don't have a white bra, don't you have a shirt that's not white? Also, how on earth did you get a hold of so many black bra's? Mine are mostly white, because they're the most regular...)

... On the one hand, I hate shopping, and I dislike bras.

On the other hand, the concept of bra shopping with this mysterious "we" is ... appealing.

Hmmm.... well then. I will recruit my mysterious "we" to be more interesting than the Royal We that I may have been thinking of. That was *hours* ago, and I have no short term memory after work.

See, normall I'd have assumed "we" = you and Don, but Don doesn't strike me as the type to enjoy long shopping trips. <g>

Plus, be brings the credit card with the REALLY big credit limit. *cough*

Don't just go shopping for a bra. Go get actually fitted. Trust me when I say you'll like bras a lot more if you have one that actually fits. And you really shouldn't have just one bra, unless you're actually washing it every night. Bras stretch as you wear them, and washing (in cold water is best, and you're not supposed to put them in the dryer, although I do) tightens up the elastic again.

Oh, trust me, next time I go bra shopping, there will be fittage. This one was bought for me by my mum, who, much as I love her, is an A-cup at best and therefore doesn't quite grasp that my C-cup and I have need of things like wider shoulder straps. Which is one of the reasons why I didn't wear a bra for like a year, and that is the reason I only have the one bra, sigh.

I do plan on going to get fitted, finding a bra I like, and then buying several, possibly including one in a slightly larger size for That Time Of The Month.

I find that I don't need a whole different bra when I'm retaining water. I just loosen the straps a bit, and that works fine.

I totally have a good fic for you, and will find it when I get home, but you might be able to track it down by searching for "Nightbloom Hearts Ease". I know that SS/NL is weird, and I wasn't sure on it either, but it was recced. And it's a prequel to Transfigurations. Trust me, read it.

Also, who the heck cares what you're wearing, as long as it doesn't violate the dress code at work and you aren't bothered.

flesh coloured? Help! In my honest opinion there are few things in this life more disgusting than flesh coloured underwear. We all wear it, everyone knows we're wearing a bra -and if we're not, we'd damned obvious and grrrrroar _ahem_- but no, I'd not wear a black bra under a white shirt. White bra. Any other colour - any other colour bra.

I don't have any other colour bra, is the problem. But yeah, flesh coloured bra, ick. I decided I don't care and wore the shirt anyway, ha!
