*sneaks in, casually hides behind friendslist* Shhhh, if I'm very quiet, the work can't find me.

On today's hate list: mumblers, people who put no inflection in their voice whatsoever^*, and people who pick up the phone with "Hello" instead of saying their name or the name of the establishment. Hate!

[ETA] Oh, and people who misspell my name in e-mail. (This is a longstanding peeve.) It's right there in the "from" field, and I sign all my e-mails, dammit. Take the two seconds to notice the different-from-usual-but-not-exactly-unique spelling and make sure you have it right. It's a matter of basic respect, for fuck's sake. [/ETA]

It's really warm and sunny out, and I'm wearing velvet trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, and all black. Gnah. Save meeee!

^* I can't figure out if they're deliberately trying to give off an air of "I really don't want to be talking to you, so hurry it up," in which case, grow a spine and just say you don't have time or whatever, or if they seriously don't know how they come across, but ugh.

I had some lovely calls today, and got monitored. One fatal error. :o(

Thankfully, I'm not getting corrective action since all that would mean is getting monitored three times next week - and I'm getting monitored three times next week /anyway/.

Boo fatal error! And yeah, they're pretty forgiving even on those when you're new. Though now I'm curious as to what fatal error you got. (The only fatal error I ever got was not calling someone by name. Grr.)

oh I know!! I know!! My last name ends in "e" but every fucking time this one person keeps sending me emails "for .... "en"".

At least over here, they actually spell my surname right. Dutch-speaking people keep wanting to insert a's and e's into it and it DRIVES ME INSANE!

I usually say 'hallo?'. But then I'm not an establishment.

Also, while my first name is Anne, everyone (who isn't French-speaking, heh) except my mother and grandmother spell it An. I find this particularly offensive in the case of my stepdad, who (very helpfully, I do realise) set up both my bank account and car insurance under 'An'. Grrr.
