When I post this, it'll be just past 7 in the morning in Belgium, and I'll officially be a quarter of a century old. I'll also be at least somewhat drunk, and most likely singing Hero of Canton. I have a habit of immersing myself in a new fandom mere days before my birthday. My last "big" birthday was when I turned twenty, and those of you who were around for that may remember that was when I got into popslash fandom.

I can't believe that was only five years ago. Of course, I also can't believe that was five years ago already, so there you go.

I am old^*. (Hush, dammit. I have age issues. PARSLEY! </injoke>)

(^* And looking through that tag's entries, I'm amused by the fact that some of the comments from people I don't even have friended anymore now have Firefly icons--guess life really is cyclical--and that some of them are from people I still/again have friended and ... did I mention that I've finally brought myself to drink some of the Maes Pils my parents brought over this summer? *tipsy* Also, from this entry:
