So yesterday, I bought a new bag that would properly fit both my AlphaSmart and writing stuff and my knitting. (I'd been using my NaNo shoulder bag until now, which isn't quite big enough, required me to put the knitting stuff in a seperate plastic bag, and doesn't close.) I feel so ... crafty!

Also went out for dinner yesterday with yonmei, a visiting snowgrouse, and, er, two other people whose LJ names I can't recall right now. Yay hanging out with slashers! Yay Indian food! Went out for a quick drink on Wednesday as well, with assorted LJ people, and tonight is the leaving do for one of my coworkers. Er, when did I acquire a social life, and what do I do with it now that I have one?

Argh, dear co-workers: I know it's Friday, but this connection is bad enough without you lot screeching like banchees in the background. I really like this woman, though, she's all "Hello, my love," this and "Thanks for calling, my love," that and I keep having to stifle the urge to giggle madly and/or hiss "Yeeeess, my precious my love," into the phone. Ahem. Must keep inner fangirl under control.

... Okay, I always thought I had an easy enough name to understand and recognise, especially now that I've given in and stopped trying to train people to pronounce it correctly (as opposed to the English native way), but: "Hi, my name is Sofie from [blah]." "Laetitia?" The hell?

"soh-FEE". Short "o", long "ie", emphasis on the second syllable. Like in french, really, except with a sharper "ie" sound.
