Question for UK people

So I pre-ordered HBP on AmazonUK, and according to the website, the estimated delivery date is 15/16 July 2005. I realise of course that getting the book on the 15th is a crack dream, but I seem to recall Amazon being really good about delivering on the day itself. Am I remembering this right? Also, is next-day delivery done by courier or by post? I'm asking because the 16th is a Friday and I'm having it sent to my work address, which of course means that if it's not delivered on the 16th, I'm not getting it until the following Monday.

Yay for pre-ordering! Part of me wants to go to the midnight release thingie, especially since apparently there's one here that JKR actually reads at herself, but I know I'd go insane with the crowds and the kids and argh.

I love the internet!! :D Um.. You don't do well with crowds? :\ I'd be tempted to go if I lived over there, especially if JKR was reading, but the thought of all those kids.. Ergh.

Yeah, I used to get panic attacks in large crowds. I'm better now, but I still don't like them, especially when they're largely going to be made up of kids. Ugh.
