Okay, quick poll. I found a way to securely fasten my fangs, so I'm going as a vampiress. I'll be wearing my long black gothy dress, and my make-up will consist of white foundation and powder, black eyeshadow and eyeliner, and mascara, of course. So, two questions: black lipstick, or the dark, almost black, purple one? And red nailvarnish, or just black?

I would go with all black. Just because I think red nails would interrupt the OMGSOGAWTH feeling you are trying to create, and I'm not sure how the purple would look.

*hopes you don't think I am being stalkery*
I got here from edinburghers (obviously) because your icon looks very very like someone I knew back when I was at school, so I just checked your user-info to find out if it was them. (It's not).

Anyway, I agree with the other poster - not red nail varnish. Black looks better. I am intrigued by the other colour of lipstick though - black lipstick these days has kind of lost the edge. I usually go for white makeup and very very red lips (the kind I would *never* wear unless I was in fancy dress).
So, yeah.. not black lipstick, I think. But really, it's what you feel most comfy with.

Hi! Yeah, unless you're Belgian, probably not someone you went to school with. (Especially since most of my actual classmates wouldn't recognise me now, heh.)

Yeah, I'm leaning towards black nail varnish and the purple lipstick, as well. It's dark enough that it's almost like black with a dark blue tinge. Sadly, I've no red lipstick.

The purple and red, definitely.

I've always been intreagued by black lipstick, so if that wins, take it with the black nailvarnish too. If you're going for red nailvarnish, take the 'in the middle' lipstick color to go with it. Catch my point ?

And take pictures !

I had to laugh at your 'vampiress'. Yesterday we had a Reiki re-union and there was a new girl which I hadn't met yet. At some point we talked about making holy water and blessing salt, which we can do as priests in the order of Melchizedec. So all of a sudden the teacher decided to do the entire initiation again, so this new person could become priestess... She accidentally proclaimed me 'priestess' in the order of Melchizedec too, this was the third time I received that initiation, so I'm now bot priest and priestess in the order. Hmmm, nice perspective ;-)

Bwahahaha! Priest and Priestess, eh? That sounds ... interesting. :p

Pictures shall be had!

I'd go with red nailvarnish and the purple lipstick as they would make a nice contrast to all the black and white.
More dramatic that way.

I love deep red lips with the goth style, tho. But that's me.

I don't have red lipstick, though, as it doesn't raelly look good on me. Went with black nailvarnish and purple lipstick in the end, and it appears the costume is a success. Yay! Tough I appear to be the only one who actually came to work already-dressed. Wussies.
