I've heard that it's good but sad, and I've heard that it's absolutely godawful (pardon the pun), so. If you don't mind spending the money, why not go see it?
well, my main worry is that, well, it's a Mel Gibson movie about Christ, and having read some of Mr Gibson's views on Christianity, morality, and the position of women in society, I a) have my doubts about the correct/positive portrayal of Maria Magdalena, one of my favourite characters in the New Testament, and b) am somewhat worried that I'm going to have to leave for fear of vomiting and/or get thrown out because I won't be able to stop muttering under my breath.
Actually, that was a lot of help, because while I dislike the Roman Catholic Church and its views, they're at least familiar, so I know what to expect, now. :)

(Except not really, because in my personal flavour of Christianity, Jesus is actually a cool guy who would laugh at things like this.)

Night of the Living Dead indeed. Quite creepy when you think about it.

Now if only someone could tell me if I should go see the damn movie ...
(The Passion of the Christ, obviously I'll be going to see Dawn of the Dead if I have to wade through zombies to get to the cinema. :D)
