A few things you might want to keep in mind:

If I give you any more caffeine, we will officially become a part of Brazil. I don't fancy being annexed, here. Ta.
We are not writing Hackers slash. We are not writing Hackers het. We are not writing any Hackers fic at all.
You hare henceforth banned from posting to mailing lists when feeling tired. It only leads to public admissions of a complete lack of knowledge of what is supposed to be your own damn native language. Honestly.

Staring at a WiP in wordpad is not the same as working on said WiP.

I was bored the other day and was looking at movie!Fics at ff.net (mistake, I know) and someone wrote Hackers!Femslash ... With an original character ... *shudder*

Eeeeeek! That's ... scary. Althnot as scary as some of the things I'm contemplating.

What are you contemplating? I mean, Hackers is better than Newsies!slash ...

Ramon "Phantom Phreak" Sanchez/Joey Phardella. In fact, I seem to've actually started writing it. I'm so easy. Also, Phreak/Acid Burn, which is just bizarre, because hi, gayest character in the movie, and I want to write het about him? Oi.

I was trying to figure out who I would slash in that movie .. With Dade that is .. And the only person I came up with was Kate's boyfriend. But I couldn't remember his name, so I stopped thinking about it.

Dude, Joey is FOURTEEN! Argh! Apparently, underage wizards aren't enough, now I have underaged hackers in my head, too.

Joey was fourteen???!!! How the hell did I miss that? He's like... yes. Cute, definitely. But fourteen? I think not. Stupid moviemakers.

I would sanction Joey/Ramon. I'm just sayin'...

Interestingly enough, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who will be the first up against the wall when the revolution comes." (or something to that effect. sorry for misquoting Adams, but I'm exceptionally sleep-deprived)

Note also that I'm opposed to a revolution based on this... I'm not sure I want this to go mainstream.

Freak coincidences are everywhere at the moment. Until yesterday, I'd only heard of or mentioned Hackers once in my life, in the context of, "Bryn? Shall we watch Hackers?" (His housemate had it on video.) "Ok." And then he watched it and I slept through the entire thing.

But last night, he randomly brought it up in a conversation. And now you mention it. Argh!

And here's where I admit I've seen that movie far, far too many times to be healthy. *grins*

Um. At current count, I think the only movie I've seen more often is The Defiant Ones. So, yeah.

And I know, it's incredibly unrealistic and stuff, but mmmmsoslashy. (JOEY/PHREAK!)

And in the Guide that got transported back from the future, under the SCC, it says "a bunch of mindless jerks who were first up against the wall when the Revolution came."

Not that I'm a HHGttG-junkie or anything.

Yes! Actually, I think the thing that got transported back from the future was the Encyclopaedia Galactica, but I could be wrong.

Ooh, Hackers. I've been wanting to see it again, but it was gone from Blockbuster last weekend. I'm thinking I should just buy myself a used copy off the internet.

Okay, Phreak may be just a little less campy than Hugo (Elrond, Queen of the elves, hee hee hee). But not by much.

I rented Hackers today, so it will be watched this weekend! Possibly even tomorrow during the par-tay.
