Question for those who've read Time Shall Not Mend: is it easier to get into it when one has read the books it's a crossover with? And are those books something I'd be interested in reading?

I tried reading the story, because I adored LoP, but I couldn't get into it all that well, for some reason, and I'm normally quite versed in adjusting my brain to crossovers where I've only read/seen one of the sources.

In other news, it never ceases to amuse me that all my coworkers refer to my boss as "Our Glorious Leader". Hee!

I haven't read the story yet, because I um, haven't finished reading all four hp books, but. ::squeal:: The Vorkosigan series! Eeeeeeeeeeee! Lovely, brilliantly fun space opera. I devoured the entire series in a matter of weeks. Eeeeee! *hugs Vorkosigan books* ~Sun

If you couldn't get into them but normally can read one-sided crossovers, it probably is because of your lack of familiarity with the Vor universe. I've loved them forever and am biased, but feel it's truly worth your while to check those books out.

I seriously adore the Vorkosigan series, and hope you would as well - Lois McMaster Bujold created a wonderfully complex universe, full of fascinating people and interesting places.

They're fun and quick-paced space opera; lots of action and humor everywhere. I'd definitely recommend reading them (probably best in series order if you can, but in any order they're great).
