I was reading Ruth's journal and went straight into denial. Nooooooooooo! Wail! Sob! Yell!

In case you managed to miss it, Jason Newsted is leaving Metallica. It's not fair, he's not allowed to leave after I've only been a fan for [just a few days over] a year. I haven't even had a chance to see them live. I was so hoping they'd tour Europe this year, so I'd get to see the James/Jase slashiness live. Goddammit! That would've been so cool, to see Bon Jovi, U2 and Metallica in one, glorious summer. Not meant to be, I guess.

I'm sort of torn between just denying the whole thing, contemplating the fic possibilities, and wondering who they're gonna get to replace Jase [speaking of fic possibilities].
