Thus far, in the grand tally of people I've managed to drag into Marcus/Oliver fandom, this is the score:

  • Converted: Leena;
  • Possibility: Shihadchick, Sae.

    I am good!

    I don't think they're mentioned in the books, are they? Only movie canon, so it kind of depends on what you go by. (Like the moving stairways, which in my personal version of canon will always be randomly-relocating!stairways, not wildly-swinging-about-with-people-on-them!stairways.)

    Yup, or like McGonnagal, who does not look that old in my head.

    I think she was perfect. Dumbledore on the other hand looked horrible to me. He never shut his mouth (literally), did anyone else notice that? I thought it was extremely disturbing. Also, his robes made him look like a big fat bat with an oversized beard.

    I have to agree -- loved McGonagall, but Dumbledore seemed so ... uh, senile? And I thought he didn't twinkle the way he was supposed to. ^^; And, I don't know. Dumbledore in the books is like this steady, calm kind of presence and I missed that in the movie ... I mean, he could have been much worse, but he wasn't quite Dumbledore to me, either.

    *nods* And do you remember when he was talking about the Mirror of Erised and answered one of Harry's questions by saying 'Yes and No'? That was outstandingly bad. Somehow it seemed like Chris Columbus was bouncing up and down behind the camera, singing 'Take your time, take your time and try to nod and shake your head whenever you can.' Don't know, he just didn't have that wise and powerful inner glowing at any time of the film.
