Beth has just perfectly explained my attitude towards slash:

What you're doing here is stretching the limits. You're saying "Real People Slash need not be limited to pretty dancing boys or boys who play instruments or sing. Slash is for others! For those who make grand scientific discovers and those who are members of the IRA. Slash should be shared with everyone who is known!"

Of course, I was trying to get her to discourage my nerdslash tendencies, but you know.

Nerdslash shouldn't be discouraged, it should be petted and loved and called George. :) Science is sexy.
