The concert was good. Stereophonics were okay (Zed and Ze Bratling liked them a lot), U2 were great, but not brilliant. Bono took two little girls from the audience and took them onstage and squee. Poor tykes were highly confused. Probably because they didn't speak English and Bono doesn't really speak Dutch. As he demonstrated earlier. I was amused. He also said we Belgians are okay. Woooo! And Edge looked, like, straight at me and smiled. (I know they cannot see a thing of the crowd. Leave me my illusions.) According to Steve, the regional tv channel had some images from the people waiting for the show, and a comment about the diversity of the fans was accompanied by a still of my brother's legs (clad in torn&written-on punk trousers) and Zed's feet (clad in goth!boots). I am amuuuused. Also slightly jealous.
Yesterday I (eventually, but that's a long pointless story) ended up sitting with Steve. This time, the concert was brilliant. They played All I Want Is You. I have a theory that Bono just really likes the whole freckin audience singing "All I want is youuuuu-hou!" to him. But that's just me. And we got to sing Happy Birthday to Edgie (yes, I actually sang it like that) even though we were two days early. But that's okay. It's the sentiment that counts. And! And! AND! We got a fucking world premiere! Waaaaaiii! Dude, first Wild Honey and now this! I feel so blessed.
So. Tonight, my plans include:
- Unpacking (aaaargh!) while watching the other two video's I rented from the nice store with the glb section. (Already watch Beautiful Thing and My Own Private Idaho, still waiting are Bent and Johns.)
- Cleaning my kitchen.
- Writing at least 250 words.
- Possibly going for a drink with Steve.
- Possibly going to see a movie in the theater.
- Possibly going for a walk.
