Ah, but I did know about the opera. Which is exactly why I'm so embarrassed that I managed to get the Flemish and Walloon national holiday so confused, because if there's one thing I remember about our Belgian history lessons, it's the name of that bally opera. It being our (half-)national holiday, and all. According to Marc Reynebeau it was a pretty pathetic kind of opera, but they didn't teach us that at school. *g*
