But ... It's a toilet! I mean, if it's a matter of not wanting to have the brush in the bathroom, I can kinda see that, but the commercial is all "blah blah blah use this or you'll just be putting germs back into the toilet" and it makes me want to bellow "IT IS A TOILET" at the TV, a la Toy Story.

I think the point is based on the following fact:

A message on our toilet stall doors reads: Please use the toilet brush.
A note added by one of my coworkers reads: I prefer paper.

Someone found a gaping hole in the market and is now developping paper toilet brushes.
