Er. *drops back onto surface of earth, briefly* Between work1, real life2, and health issues3, I've kinda been incommunicado lately, and it'll only get worse after this week, because my parents will be over and I'll be off in the Highlands somewhere, so um. Yes. Hi. I don't even have any Big Brother babble for you, that's how boring I am right now.

1 Not so much busy as annoying, and I'm being given the runaround by high-ups, and now they're moving us back to the Other Site In The Middle Of Nowhere, and blah. At least I'll not have to switch buses anymore, but on the other hand, the bus schedule over there is way annoying. I'm seriously considering finding another job.
2 Yeah, still offline from home, and also trying to make sure I'm ready for my parents to come over. Also, hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] yonmei.
3 Specifically, the Sugar Crash To End All Sugar Crashes. Complete with near-fainting spells and everything. And the doctor was most unhelpful, except for ruling out the possibility of diabetes. So I just have to be even more careful about eating regularily. Hrmpf.

But if the actor in question isn't Johnny Depp, would that actually work?

Well, what about Hawkeye Pierce meeting Alan Alda?

Or Orlando Bloom meeting Legolas?

Or Harry Potter meeting Daniel Radcliffe?

In each case, the actor is aware that they are meeting the character they played, but the character is only aware they are meeting someone else who looks surprisingly like them. ;-)

But with most actors in that situation, you have to work through the whole "This isn't real" denial, whereas Mr Depp would just take it as given.
