Am knackered. Cannot feel knees below the knees, and my back is agony.

Queed to get on march longer than I actually spent marching, and then, just as we start actually moving, they start showing U2 at Live 8 on the big screens. Bastards. Avoided sunburn, but whacked a few people in the head with my sign (if you see a belgian flag on TV reports, that'll be me, whoo!) and nearly tripped over a toddler half a dozen times. All in all, a fun-filled day. Now I need, in order, a shower, some food, a lie-down, and to clean my flat.

Amusingly, when I was typing in the LJ url, IE's autocomplete (I'm in an internet cafe) popped up with, among other things, [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips. Ahahahaha!

The music was fab, wasn't it? :D Did you see the bagpipe-player-in-kilt/bongo-players combo? Utterly bizarre, but cool! :D

Hee! Yeah, I did see them. Actually, it's not as bizarre as you might think -- I played djembe in an African percussion/bagpipe combo in a folk festival in Finland once. And the bagpiper was Belgian. And deaf. As was I, by the end. But I wasn't nearly as tight as those two guys -- they were wicked! Also, the all-woman samba band was totally amazing. Mmmm *grooves along to the memory*

Bah, I didn't see the samba band, but I did get music pretty much the whole duration of thwe march as I made my way to the front(ish). Mmmm, drums.
