You know I found the writer I'm collaborating with on a couple of projects that we're pitching due, ultimately, to CrystalWank? cleolinda friended my LJ because of that, then I read one of rachelmanija's responses to her on her LJ, friended her because of that, and then rachelmanija saw some of my art and asked me to collaborate. Whee!

And I actually got the job that I was writing a cover letter for and agonizing about during the wank. I'm sure that WankPower(TM) had nothing to do with that, but it's still nice. :D

Yup. :) Took 'em four months to call me and schedule an interview, but they hired me the week after that and I started two weeks after that, so now I Are a Legitimately Employed Person. Wheeeee!

It's kinda weird to realise that in the year since CW, I changed jobs, moved to another country, and basically uprooted my life and stuff.

I haven't uprooted my life *quite* that completely - I'd finished grad school that December, and since then I've gotten the job, moved to a city on the other side of the metroplex, gotten a cat, and have started doing a bunch more comic art, with the eventual aim to being published, which looks like it might happen sooner rather than later (on a geologic timescale, maybe...)

So I'm certainly in a spot I had no idea I'd be in at the time. :)

Aw, I want a cat! Sadly I can't have one in this flat. I do have a bunch of new friends, a job that leaves me time to write and read porn (seriously, I have, like, negative workload!), and a suddenly really active muse who already made me write a 50K novel and now a 12K+ fanfic, yay!

Life is good, innit? :D

I've been wanting a cat for a loooong time and am finally in a place that allows pets and can finally afford one. I'd like two, but I can only ahve one here. Ah well.
