Oooh, interesting meme! I post ten first lines from my stories, and you people write drabbles based on them. I'll try to do the ones on my friends page as well, but it might take me a bit.

Four of these are from my RPS stories, four from my FPS stories, and two from my non-fanfic stories.

1. They didn't exactly part on friendly terms, back then.
2. This will never go anywhere.
3. When you wake up, you don't remember at first.
4. It's the worst battle yet, and losses are heavy on both sides.
5. "Boys, I'll be on my way. I trust you two to lock up, all right?"
6. The last Saturday before his NEWTs, Lee is still up at 2 in the morning, long after everyone else has gone to bed. 
7. Justin recognised him immediately, of course. 
8. This is what he knows.
9. He's standing in the doorway.
10. A faint humming could be heard from room 101 at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

I tried to pick the most generic ones, but some are more specific.

ETA: I also want to do that "my character" meme, but I'm not sure who to pick. Any requests? FPF, RPF, non-fanfic, you name it.

Justin recognised him immediately, of course. He was, after all, the Golden Boy of Hufflepuff before all that Goblet of Fire business. Justin had seen him in the Common Room, during each Quidditch match, and just around -- scoping him around like you would any popular boy.

However, as far as he knew, Cedric had been dead for nearly ten years, and Justin was certain that, even if he was alive, he wouldn't be seen at a Death Eater massacre.

But there he was, and there Justin was, and it was all so terribly heartbreaking that Justin burst into tears.
