Good: I think I've found a flat. It'll take a week or two before the reference (actually, a guarantee from my parents) clears and I can sign the lease, but it's a lovely little place just off Leith Walk, with a gorgeously spaceous kitchen * that's also a dining room, a sitting room with two brand new sofas: one red sofa bed and one white (!) three-seater, and a bedroom with a skybed! Excellent! The bathroom is insanely small, and this British habit of putting carpet in the bathroom confuses me, but it has a proper bath, electric shower, and a toilet, and the whole place has been recently refurnished, including spanking new kitchen stuff, so I don't even need much in the way of kitchen appliances.

* Keep in mind that when I say "spaceous" I mean, compared to my old place. Those of you who've seen the place (that'd be the Belgians and elfie, really) know that doesn't say much. But still.

Also good: I had my "halfway excercise" today, which is this sort of test-that's-not-a-test at the halfway point of my training, and I aced it! Missed some questions because of inaccurate phrasing of questions/wrong information in the database, and two because I didn't read the questions correctly (story of my life), but overall, I did great. I'm also over a full day ahead of my training schedule, so I've been getting compliments lately. Yay! *preen*

Bad: I have a terrible headache that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and I fear another migraine attack. Arrrgh.

SO MUCH WITH THEW YAY: England - Portugal tonight! Must go buy credit for mobile phone so as to spam certain people with text messages.

I missed the Belgian Kitchen, but if the new one cooks good veggie food, I might decide to drop in one day. Well, I'm planning to anyway, in November during Nanowrimo. Please let me know ahead of time if that doesn't suit you at all.

Last time I was supporting the other team since Club Brugge's goalkeeper Butina... Uhm... Like... Let your guys score four times :-(

Whatever, I'm out for tonight so feel free to let me know how the match ended.

Also, congrats on the new place. Why do they need your parents for ? Proof that you are potty trained ? Last time I checked, you looked mature enough though ;-P

The portuguese make flat fries, the english bake fat chips, what kind of food do the scotts have ?

References are common place here, and since I have none, they need my parents to vouch for me. Standard practise here.
