I have a small PSA for those of you thinking about going to see RotK. No spoilers, but I'm cutting in order to avoid skewering all your friends pages.

If you've managed to miss the fact that LotR is an epic fantasy story ...

If, after seeing the first two parts, you also somehow didn't catch on to the fact that there are deep, real friendships between men in this movie ...

If any form of boytouching makes you giggle like a five-year old and mutter things about gay Hobbits in a sneering, non-happy way ...

If you cannot seem to shut the fuck up for the three and a half hours this movie lasts ...

If pathos and epic endings make you laugh out loud ...

... do everyone a favour and

GO WATCH ANOTHER MOVIE!

Seriously. It's Tolkien. In case you missed it during the first two movies, that means it's epic and has pathos and deep, touchy friendships. If you can't deal with that, why are you watching this movie? Shut the fuck up, go away, and let me sob overmy Hobbits in peace!

to be fair, i spent a great deal of the movie giggling, but it was all in joy and "Squee." I attempted to keep it to a minimum, but i think i pissed off one of my friends in the process of "Squee." oops. :(

Giggling in and of itself is fine. As are squeeing and snarky remarks, which I did myself. (Legolas: *random elf wisdom* Melle: "Oh, cram it, Confucius." People next to Melle: *muffled laughter*)

But these people were being juvenile and giggling in that obnoxious "OMG guys touching THEY MUST BE GAY EW" way, and just. It's TOLKIEN! If you don't like the pathos and the touching and the friendship, why are you watching this movie? WHY?

One of the girls also constantly had to ask for clarification, which was another big annoyance
