So, yes.

What I was planning to do: Go to parents, write on the train, eat, show off scarf, go home fairly early, write on the train back, write more once I get home.

What I did: Go to parents, write on the train, eat, show off scarf, have long, deep, and at times slightly disturbing conversation wtih my mother about love, relationships, family stuff (*), etc. until half an hour after my last train went, and then the whole thirty minutes of the drive over there.

While I appreciate talks like this, I'd rather they not happen on the first day of NaNoWriMo, you know?

*beats head against desk*

(* Expect entry on this one of these days, after I've had a chance to turn things over in my own head for a while. For now, I just want to say that of all the things that changed when I ran away from home that time, the one I regret most is how it changed my relationship with my eldest brother.)
